• The degree of effect and duration of intoxication due to liquor consumption will be extensive if the person consumes liquor similar to his constitution. The principle which has been described in the first chapter of Sutrastahana; emphasizes the use of opposite (viruddha guna) quality subastanaces to pacify the agitated state of dosha. Therefore, it is advised to drink liquor of opposite quality for respective (prakriti)constitution.
