Shilājatu vataka – Eight pala of silājatu impregnated for ten, twenty or thirty days with the decoction of fruit of kutaja, harītakī, bibhītaka, amalakī, nimba, patola, ghana and nāgara. Eight pala of sugar and one pala each of tvakakṡīrī, pippalī, dhātrī and karkaṭaśṛngī; half pala each of the fruit and root of nidigdhikā and adequate powder of tvaka, elā and patra should be added to this silājatu. Vaṭaka (large sized pills) of one akṡa each should be prepared by adding three pala of honey to this powder. These pills can be taken on either empty stomach or after having food. The patient should drink the juice of dāḍima (pomegranate), milk, meat soup of birds, water, alcohol, asava (medicated wine) after taking this medicine. It cures pāndu, kuṡtha, jwara, plīhā, tamaka svāsa, arśa, bhagandara (fistula in ano), pūti (putrified ulcers), hṛdroga (heart diseases), shukra dośha (diseases of semen), mūtra dośha (diseases of urine), and agni dosha (diseases of digestion), soṡa (consumption), gara (poisoning), udara, kāsa, asṛgdara (menorrhagia), rakta pitta (bleeding disorders), sotha, gulma, galāmayāna (diseases of the throats) and all types of vraṇa (wounds). It cures all types of diseases and bestows auspiciousness. Thus, ends the description of shilājatu vātaka.

Punarnavā Manḍūra – Powder of one pala each of punarnavā, trivṛta, sunthī, pippalī, maricha, vidanga, devadāru, chitraka, kuśtha, haridrā, dāruharidrā, harītakī, bibhītaka, amalakī, dantī, cavya, kālingaka, pippalī, pippalī mūla and mustā; and forty palā of mandūra bhasma (rust of iron) coked in two adhaka of cow’s urine and made in the form of gutikā of the size of kola. These pills should be taken with butter milk. It cures pāndu, plīhā, arsa, viṡama jwara, sotha, grahanīdosha (sprue syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome), kuśtha and krimī (parasitic infestation). Thus, ends the description of punarnavā mandūra.
