If a ''pittaja atisara'' patient does not follow the therapeutic measures and resorts to such foods and drinks which cause aggravation of ''pitta'', then the excessively provoked ''pitta'' causes ''raktatisara'' and instantaneous vitiation of ''rakta'' (blood). This leads to serious complications like morbid thirst, colic pain, burning sensation and suppuration of the anus.
