Generally, milk is sweet, unctuous, cooling, galactagogue, pleasing, aphrodisiac, brain tonic (''medhya'', which increases intelligence), strengthening, exhilarating, vitalizing, refreshing; curative to dyspnea, cough, bleeding, synthesizer in injuries/fracture; wholesome to all living creatures, pacifies and evacuates the ''dosha''''Italic text'', quenches the thirst, stimulates the digestion and very useful in emaciation due to lung ulcer [107-109].
