Crocus sativus L. (commonly known as Kumkuma or Saffron) is a geophytic perennial plant renowned worldwide for its aromatic and medicinal stigmas. It is highly valued in Ayurveda for its exceptional skin-enhancing (varnya), neuroprotective, and tridosha-pacifying properties, occupying a prominent place in classical formulations and therapeutic texts.
