''Aranala''(a fermented preparation), ''dadhimanda''(curd whey) or ''sauviraka'' are all fermented liquids. Fermented liquids contain probiotic organisms. Probiotic foods are produced by chemical action of lactic acid, bacteria, yeast or combination of both. These useful microorganisms help in breaking down carbohydrates, sugars making them easily digestible.
