Thus, the symptoms of impediment by food resembles that of ama disorders. Undigested food material affects gastric motility hence pachana is the remedy that helps in digestion. Thus, in case of impediment by food pachana is preferred as it makes possible ama degradation into easily absorbable nutrients. If this pachana is not possible then mild purgation is also advised to remove out the undigested material.
