== Etymology and derivation ==

<div style='text-align:justify;'>Piccha basti formulation has sticky or slimy (picchila) properties. The word 'piccha’ is derived from picchila (पिच्छिल) that means slimy touch, gummy, sticky, sliminess. Hence the basti formulation having such properties is called ‘Piccha basti’.
