Classes

Mala are of two classes:

  1. Aharamala (waste formed during digestion process): These include mutra (urine) and purisha (faeces).
  1. Dhatumala (waste formed during metabolism process): These include kapha from rasa, pitta from rakta, mucus of nose and ear wax from the mamsa, sveda (perspiration) from the meda, nails and hair from the asthi, rheum of the eye from the majja.
