It appears that ''Jimutaka'' produces emesis relatively in small doses. ''Jimutaka'' is bestowed with ''Tridoshaharakarma'' (curing vitiated conditions of ''Tridosha'') and indicated in the treatment of ''Jwara'' (fever), ''Pittashleshma jwara, Vatapitta jwara, Swasa'' (breathlessness including asthma), ''Hikka'' (Hiccough), ''Arochaka'' (Anorexia), ''Kasa'' (Cough), ''Pandu'' (Anaemia), ''Rajayakshma'' (Wasting diseases) and such other diseases.
